As of 1 January, the new Sustainability Declarations came into effect. If you're selling property, make sure you complete the form or risk the maximum penalty of $2,000 for individuals and up to $10,000 for agents.
Despite the warning of large fines for failure to comply with the legislation, the government has announced a grace period until 1 March, while they bed down the first forms.
