First Home Savings Scheme

Earlier (30 Nov), we were mentioned the Rudd pre-election promises in relation to First Home Owner assistance. In parliament today, the Federal Cabinet approved one of these initiatives.

The First Home Savings scheme is designed to assist first home buyers save for a home deposit, including generous tax breaks.

While Wanye Swann admitted today that the scheme offers a 'modest' contribution, however, it hopefully encourage a savings culture amongst young investors.
