The Tugun Bypass Project (pictured above) will bring a change of lifestyle to the coastal suburb of Tugun. The bypass project will take traffic to the west of the Gold Coast Airport, connecting to the Stewart Road interchange at Currumbin and the Tweed Heads Bypass north of Kennedy Drive at Tweed Heads West.

Due to be opened mid-2008, the project is estimated to remove 55% of traffic off the existing Gold Coast Highway by 2017. This will bring both a changed traveling experience to highway motorists and a change of lifestyle to residents of Tugun, where property has already begun to adjust.

The buzzing suburb has borderline Gold Coast prices with many bargains from beach frontage to the hinterland area.
