Migrating to Australia? Thinking of using a Migration Agent?

You are able to lodge any kind of visa application or asylum claim yourself. Your application will not be decided any sooner if you use a migration agent and they cannot influence the outcome of your application.

Note: Staff of Department of Immigration and Citizenship are able to provide advice on visa and citizenship products. The department’s website provides extensive information on applying for visas, including a series of booklets designed to help you understand what is required for migration, and how to complete and lodge application forms. Some forms are also available in other languages.
See: Information Booklets

However, if you do not feel confident in lodging an application, or if your case is complex, you may wish to use a migration agent to help you. If you do decide to use a migration agent, use a registered migration agent.
